Here is what's happening with our project

We are hard at work creating this seasons new flower designs. On June 1st we will publish the limited edition flowers created by our advanced ceramic students. Please come back and take a look! 5-29-15
How many boxes does it take to move an art installation? More than we realized! Thank you to our local florists who dropped off boxes and had them ready for us to pick up. They really helped out! 5-15-15
We are hard at work finishing up the last parts of our flowers. Little bits of sanding and shaping still need to be done. 4 -22-15
We made the local news paper, the Port Huron Times Herald. They visited us for an after school flower making day and did a great job covering our event. Great job everyone! Click here to go to the story. |

Today is the day!!! We are finally going to start placing our finished flowers in the courtyard. We have been working for months just to get to this stage. It was a wonderful moment. Here is the AP art team "planting" the first batch of flowers. Way to go ladies! 5-26-15
We glue hundreds of flowers at a time. This batch is waiting to dry before being boxed up for the trip downstairs to the courtyard. 5-6-15
We put some of our flowers on display for the National Honor Society luncheon. They look so pretty in a vase! All photos above are from Jeffery M. Smith, Times Herald.

Our first after school work day was a hit! We had a room full of people making flowers, playing music and just having a great time. Thanks to all who stopped by and helped out - we hope you will come back next week! |

The first batch of flowers drying. This is only a small part of the 2,500 we plan to make. We are waiting for our slab roller to be ordered before pushing ahead to make all the flowers. It will certainly speed up the process!

Advanced ceramic students are hard at work designing the first prototypes of our flower designs. Each student created a potential design and the class worked as a group to design which would be the easiest for non ceramic people to build. Congratulations to Amy Racz for designing the winning flower!
