We are a group of advanced placement art students and second and third year ceramic students at Port Huron Northern High School. Each year students in these classes lead a building wide installation art project. This year we are connecting our art project with the commemoration of the 50th graduating class for Northern High School.
Details:In October while discussing current events we looked at the work of Tom Piper and Paul Cummings. They created a beautiful display of red ceramic poppies at the Tower of London. These flowers were created as a remembrance for each British solider that had lost their life in World War I.

As a class we looked at the images of the installation and the AP art students quickly decided they wanted to use it as inspiration for their own form of remembrance for each student that had graduated from Port Huron Northern High School.
